Bountiful Fares expands upon existing mechanics and adds simple, new content to the food and farming aspect of Minecraft, while still being faithful to the base game. Please note that features may be added or changed in the future.

Is this a Farmer's Delight addon?

No, this is an independent mod.

Will there be a Bedrock version? / Can I port Bountiful Fares to Bedrock?

No, don't expect anything Bedrock-related, and please do not port it yourself.

Will there be a Forge/NeoForge port?

Maybe in the future, but It's not planned. (It does work with Sinytra Connector however!)

Will there be a port to [insert past version]?

No, some features require the latest versions.

What versions will Bountiful Fares be updated to?

In general, new features and bug fixes will be added to the most recent version of Minecraft, along with the second and maybe third most recent as well (for example, 1.20.3, 1.20.2, and 1.20.1).

Can I use Bountiful Fares in a modpack/server/other content?

Absolutely!

Can I use Bountiful Fares's models/textures for a separate project?

No, please don't use any of it's models/textures for anything else, even with credit. (Check license on github)

Full Feature List
  • Apple, Orange, Lemon, and Plum Fruit Trees

    • Has unique Saplings, Leaves, and Logs for each type.
      • Fruit Logs cannot be crafted into Planks or other wooden blocks.
      • Fruit Logs can be crafted into Wood and be stripped.
      • All Fruit Logs can be crafted into 8 Sticks.
    • Fruits will grow from the bottom of Leaves, similarly to Propagules. These fruits can be harvested infinitely and reproduced by fertilizing the Leaves.
    • Each Fruit Tree can be found in different biomes:
      • Apple trees in Forest biomes
      • Orange trees in Jungle and Sparse Jungle biomes
      • Lemon trees on Riverbanks
      • Plum trees in Meadow and Flower Forest biomes
    • All fruits can be crafted into their respective blocks.
      • Can be eaten up to four times, similarly to Cakes.
      • Is affected by gravity.
      • When hit with a projectile, it will break back into fruit items.
  • Trellises

    • Can be crafted from four Sticks and any plank type.
    • has 13 variants, one for each wood type.
    • Vine Crops such as Passion fruit, Elderberries, Glow Berries, and Lapisberries can be planted on it.
      • Can be sheared at any stage to prevent them from growing or collecting the produce.
      • Produce can be collected infinitely, similarly to Sweet Berry Bushes.
    • Tall Flowers (Rose Bushes, Peonies, Lilacs, and Sunflowers) can be planted on them as well.
  • Vine Crops

    • Wild Passion Fruit vines can be found generating on the side of Jungle Trees in Jungle biomes.
    • Wild Elderberry vines can be found generating on the side of Swamp Oak Trees in Swamps.
    • Passion Fruit and Elderberries can be farmed on Trellises.
  • Wild Crops

    • Wheat, Carrots, Potatoes, and Beetroots can be found as Wild Crops around the world.
      • Wild Wheat spawns more commonly in Savanna biomes.
      • Wild Carrots spawn more commonly in Plains biomes.
      • Wild Potatoes spawn more commonly in Forest biomes.
      • Wild Beetroots spawn more commonly in Meadow biomes.
    • Drops one of their respective seeds/items.
  • Gristmill

    • Can be crafted from five planks, three bricks, and one iron.
    • Acts similarly to a furnace, but doesn't need any fuel.
    • Can be used to grind materials. (glowstone dust from glowstone, raw items from ore blocks, etc.)
    • The yield for resource collection recipes like ores and glowstone is slightly more efficient than simply breaking the block, but not as efficient as using a fortune enchantment.
  • Ceramic

    • Feldspar can be obtained from grinding Granite, Diorite, Andesite, or Tuff blocks at a Gristmill.
      • Feldspar can be made into blocks.
      • Feldspar Block variants can be crafted as well (Cut, Bricks)
      • Surrounding glass with four Feldspar items produces Tinged Glass.
        • Working similarly to Tinted Glass, Tinged Glass lowers the light level which passes through by around half.
    • Combining 3 Clay Balls and Feldspar produces Ceramic Clay, which can be made into blocks.
    • Ceramic Clay can be smelted into Ceramic Tile items and Ceramic Tiles.
      • Can be crafted into slabs and stairs.
      • All types of Ceramic Tiles can be dyed any color by combining dyes similarly to Leather Armor.
      • In addition to this, Ceramic Tiles can by dyed using an Artisan Brush.
        • Crafted with one Stick, one Gold Ingot, and three String.
        • Can be dyed in a crafting table
        • When used on any dyeable ceramic block, it will apply the brush's color onto the block
      • Several variants of Ceramic Tiles can also be made:
        • Cracked Ceramic Tiles
        • Ceramic Tile Pillar
        • Ceramic Mosaic (+ stairs and slabs)
      • If an Artisan Brush is shift-clicked on a dyed Ceramic Tiles/Mosaic block, and the color of the brush matches the block's, a checkered variant will be made. The same will work in reverse.
      • If the color of the Ceramic block does not match the brush's, the block's color will be copies onto the brush's.
      • If crafted by itself, Dyeable Ceramic blocks and Artisan Brushes will revert to white.
      • Ceramic Tiles are transparent blocks and do not transmit redstone, due to it's insulating properties.
    • Crafting Ceramic Tile items together gives a Ceramic Dish.
      • Can be dyed any color like Ceramic Tiles.
      • Can be placed.
      • Any item can be placed on a dish.
      • Most food items can be eaten directly from the dish.
      • Items on dishes can be removed by shift right clicking with an empty hand.
    • Ceramic Tile items can also be crafted into Ceramic Pressure Plates, Buttons, and Levers.
      • Can be dyed any color like Ceramic Tiles.
      • Can be triggered by projectiles, similarly to wooden variants (Pressure Plates and Buttons).
      • The delay between powered and unpowered states is very short, allowing for quicker redstone inputs (Pressure Plates and Buttons).
  • Tea

    • Tea Shrub plants can be found in Jungle and Forest biomes.
      • Drops Tea Berries, which can be used to replant Tea Shrubs.
      • Tea Leaves can be sheared from the plant periodically.
        • Tea Leaves can be smelted to get Dried Tea Leaves.
      • If it is bonemealed when at its final stage, it will produce more Tea Berries.
    • Chamomile Flowers can be found often across the world.
      • Acts similarly to Pink Petals, where four flowers can be planted in one block.
    • Honeysuckle flowers can be found in Forest, Roofed Forest, and Savannah biomes.
      • can be bonemealed and duplicated when planted on Farmland.
    • Violet Bellflowers can be found in Taiga, Meadow, and Birch Forest biomes.
      • can be bonemealed and duplicated when planted on Farmland.
    • Tea Blends can be crafted from Tea Leaves, Dried Tea Leaves, Chamomile Flowers, Honeysuckles, Violet Bellflowers, and Torchflowers at a Gristmill.
    • Tea Bottles can be crafted in a Crafting Table with it's respective Tea Blend and a Water Bottle.
      • Each type of tea removes a different set of negative status effects:
        • Green tea removes Stupor, Hunger, and Acidic
        • Black tea removes Weakness, Slowness, and Acidic
        • Chamomile tea removes Nausea, Poison, and Acidic
        • Honeysuckle tea removes Wither, Weakness, and Acidic
        • Bellflower tea removes Levitation, Slowness, and Acidic
        • Torchflower tea removes Darkness, Blindness, and Acidic
      • In addition, all tea types will apply a new status effect "Ebullience" for 30 seconds
        • Negates all exhaustion, effectively stopping the hunger bar from depleting
    • Infused Candles can be crafted with tea blends.
      • Each Tea Blend has it's respective candle.
      • Each type of Infused Candles emits a weak effect in a small radius.
  • Walnut Trees and Walnuts

    • Walnut Trees can be found in Windswept Forests and Wooded Badlands, and occasionally by Beaches.
      • Comes with a new wood set in between Spruce and Dark Oak in color.
      • Clusters of Walnuts can be seen growing from the bottom of Walnut Leaves, similarly to Propagules.
    • When fully grown, Walnut Clusters will fall from the tree, resetting its growth, and land on the ground.
      • If falling Walnuts land on more fallen Walnuts, more will place in the same block.
    • Walnuts can be harvested from the ground after they have fallen off the tree.
      • Can be eaten.
    • When milled in a Gristmill, Walnut Mulch will be created.
      • Can be crafted into Brown Dye.
      • Can be placed in multiple layers, similarly to snow.
      • Is affected by gravity.
      • Four can be crafted together to create a Walnut Mulch Block.
      • Can be fed to tamed Wolves for an advancement.
    • Walnut Candles, a type of Infused Candle, can also be made using a Walnut.
      • Gives the Enrichment effect.
  • Fermentation

    • Fermentation Vessels can be created from six Ceramic Clay.
    • Giving a Fermentation Vessel a Water Bottle and an item to ferment will close the lid and begin the fermentation process, which takes a while.
    • When the proccess has finished, the block will appear slightly stained, and a unique sound effect will play.
    • Many things can be made through fermentation, such as:
      • Fermented Spider Eyes from Spider Eyes
      • Elderberry Wine from Elderberries (needs a bottle to collect)
      • Lapisberry Wine from Lapisberries (needs a bottle to collect)
      • Mead from Honey (needs a bottle to collect)
      • Apple Cider from Apples (needs a jar to collect)
      • Plum Cider from Plums (needs a jar to collect)]
      • Hoary Cider from Hoary Apples (needs a jar to collect)
      • Citrus Essence from Oranges or Lemons
  • Acidic Status Effect

    • Causes all other status effects's levels on the player to be increased by the level of Acidity, both positive and negative.
    • Eating Citrus Essence gives the player the Acidic status effect for a short time.
    • Potions of Acidity can be brewed from Citrus Essence.
    • Brewing a Fermented Spider Eye with a Potion of Acidity creates a Potion of Stupor.
      • Removes all other effects, and stops any effects from being applied for the duration of Stupor.
    • Both effects will not affect Bad Omen or Hero of the Village.
  • Enrichment Status Effect

    • Can only be applied naturally through eating certain foods
    • Adds minor increases to most stats:
      • Movement speed by 8%
      • Attack speed by 15%
      • Attack damage by 20%
  • Restoration Status Effect

    • Can only be applied naturally through eating certain foods
    • Quickly heals a player when hurt
      • Will only heal the the amount of health the player had when it was applied
      • Other means of regeneration are not negated
      • Because of this, it is best to use this effect before damage will be taken.
  • Enrichment Status Effect

    • Can only be applied naturally through eating certain foods
    • Increases many stats of the player slightly, such as speed, attack speed, and attack damage.
  • Sniffer

    • Sniffers can dig up two new seeds: Lapisberry and Hoary Seeds.
    • Lapisberry Seeds can be planted on Trellises to farm Lapisberries.
    • Hoary Seeds can be planted on farmland to grow a Hoary Apple Sapling.
    • Hoary Apple Saplings can be grown into Hoary Apple Trees with a unique shape, leaves, and wood set.
    • Hoary Apples can be collected from the Leaves, like other Fruit Trees.
      • Can be crafted into blocks like other fruits.
  • Spongekins

    • Spongekin Seeds can be dropped by Elder Guardians and rarely by Guardians, and can be planted only underwater on most blocks.
      • When fully grown, a Spongekin gourd will grow on top, even if it grows out of Water.
    • Spongekins can be sheared to remove its rind, with it's spongy flesh able to be used as a Sponge.
    • Spongekins can be broken to collect Spongekin Slices.
      • If eaten underwater, air time will increase slightly.
    • If a Spongekin is grown on a Sea Lantern, it's Prismarine Crystals will propagate on top in the form of a Prismarine Blossom.
      • Can be broken to get a few Prismarine Crystals and Shards.
      • Can be broken with a Silk Touch Pickaxe to obtain the item.
      • It will emit light and particles based on if it is in Water or not.
  • Food

    • Wild Maize can be found in Savannah and Mangrove Swamp biomes.
    • Wild Leeks can be found in Plains biomes.
    • Similarly to other crops, these can be broken and planted to grow Maize and Leek crops.
    • Wheat and Maize can be ground into Flour.
      • Acts like Wheat in recipes.
      • Can be thrown to produce a large cloud of Flour.
    • Nine placeable food items can be crafted in a Crafting Table:
      • Berry Tarts using Flour, Sugar, an Egg, and a Berry item (Passion Fruit, Elderberries, Glow Berries, Sweet Berries, or Lapisberries.)
      • Fruit Pies using Flour, Sugar, an Egg, and a Fruit item (Apples, Oranges, Lemons, Plums, or Hoary Apples.)
      • Artisan Bread using Flour and an Egg.
      • Artisan Cookies using Flour, Elderberries, and Sugar.
    • 20+ food items can be made in a Crafting Table.
  • Grass Seeds

    • Dropped occasionally by Grass, Tall Grass, Ferns, and Large Ferns
    • Can be used on any type of dirt to grow a new Grass Block
    • When crafted with Dirt, Grassy Dirt is made
      • Is tinted by the biome it is in, similarly to Grass
      • Cannot survive with a block on top, similarly to Grass Blocks
      • When bonemealed, it will grow into a Grass Block

    • Sun Hats can be crafted using five Wheat and can be worn.
    • Jack O' Straws can be crafted with a Pumpkin, Sun Hat, any color of Wool, and a Stick.
      • Each color has a unique face design.
      • When a Jack O' Straw's head is right-clicked with a Torch or Candle, the head will become a Jack o' Lantern and emit light.
    • Smaller variants of Fences - Pickets can be crafted with two Planks and a Stick.
      • Up to four can be placed in the same block in each cardinal direction.
    • Golden Apple Blocks can be crafted with nine Golden Apples similarly to other Fruit Blocks.
      • When eaten, the player will gain the same status effects as a normal Golden Apple.
      • Can be used as a Beacon base block.
    • Apples have been removed from Oak Leaves and Dark Oak Leaves loot tables.
