Skillable Mod for Minecraft 1.20.1
Skillable mod has arrived for Minecraft 1.20.1! Most of the original features have now been implemented, and more are planned for the future!
About Skillable
Skillable is a progression control system with eight different skills. Players need to level up these skills to unlock stronger tools, weapons, or more advanced blocks. Currently controllable content includes:
- Block destruction
- Attacking entities
- Tool and weapon usage
All features can be configured in the configuration files, including level requirements and suitable entities.
Modified Vanilla Behavior
- Items and blocks cannot be used or placed unless the required skill level has been reached.
- Higher-level entities cannot be attacked unless the required skill level is reached.
- Sheep no longer drop wool when killed (configurable).
How to Use
Press the “G” key in-game to open the Skill panel. The skill panel will show:
- Your current level
- The level required to upgrade to the next level
- And more...
When you reach the required level, the number will turn green, and you can click the corresponding skill button to upgrade.
Configuration
Skill Locks
Skill locks can configure:
- Item or weapon usage requirements
- Entity attack level requirements
The attack_skill_locks.json file can configure attack level requirements for entities.
The craft_skill_locks.json is not yet implemented.
The skill_locks.json file can configure usage requirements for any item or block, with default examples already included.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a crash or infinite loading bug when entering the End Portal after killing the Ender Dragon.
- Fixed some potential bugs where players could not respawn after death.
Performance Improvements
- Significantly optimized performance in Creative mode Inventory. More optimizations are expected in the future.
Future Plans
- Adding additional features.
- Adding more mod compatibility.
