Experimental
These features are upcoming additions to the 1.5 update. They are still a work in progress, and may change before final release.
Blocks
Ethereal Bricks: A new set of bricks, including slabs, stairs and walls. The origin is currently unknown, and we will let you know once we have more information on this new discovery.
Items
Lither Charge:
The Lither Charge is a new item which you can throw, and similar to an Ender Pearl you will be teleported to where the charge lands!
What's unique about this item is that part of the area in which the charge lands will explode. You won't take damage from this explosion, but surrounding entities, blocks, items and everything else that would normally be affected will.
When a Lither Charge hits an entity, the entity will deal knockback and be damaged, but there won't be an explosion and you won't be teleported.
Litherite Brush: A new brush, crafted with Litherite crystals with higher durability. What will you discover?
Litherite Wrench:
This item solves a problem that has haunted Minecraft for years, the fact that you can't rotate blocks without having to break and place them again.
The Litherite Wrench uses Litherite's magical properties to rotate any block with rotation properties, including doors, slabs, stairs, signs, pistons and more. All just by right clicking. With a durability of 128 and being enchantable with Unbreaking and Mending, this tool is very powerful and useful, especially for builders. Call it a vanilla-friendly debug stick.
Lithereal Key: The key to unlock a new block coming in the 1.5 update.
War Hammer:
Conquer your battles with the new War Hammer!
12 attack damage with a 1.0 attack speed
Non-sprinting attacks turn into sweep hits, like swords
Critical hits have a new "hammer smash" behavior, dealing extra knockback to both target and surronding entities within a 3 block radius.
Shields
Hitting a player with a War Hammer will disable shields for 5 seconds and deal half of the hammer's knockback (unique to this item only, as no item in Minecraft currently disables and does knockback to entities using a shield simultaneously)
Hitting a sweep attack while a player is holding a shield will disable several player's shields, meaning you can disable multiple shields at once!
There is a lot more planned for 1.5, and will possibly be our biggest update yet! Expect betas for 1.5 in the near future.
