Changelog

New Features:

  • Giant Cannon: The cannon’s older brother. A massive multi-block structure that requires rails behind it to compensate for its recoil, the giant cannon packs a huge punch to anything in its path.
  • Crusher: The crusher is out of BETA. The crusher is a devastating machine capable of crushing any entity under it. It can even break blocks under it!

New Ammo for the Giant Cannon (Not finished)

  • Building a turret golem now grants the “Hired Help” advancement.
  • The Giant Saw now breaks blocks it touches! Pairing this feature with Valkyrian Skies Mod and Clockwork could allow for ramming ships into each other to destroy them.
  • Added reinforced doors to all wood types.
  • Added Cast Iron Walls

Changes:

Cannon Rework:

  • Visuals and models are now reworked.
  • Can now aim up and down 15 degrees

Mortar Rework:

  • Visuals and models are now reworked.
  • Now uses cannon projectiles instead of a separate ammo type.

Ballista Rework: (Probably my favorite)

  • New texture and model
  • Now has a reloading animation and sound effects
  • Can now see how much ammo a ballista has from its ammo box height now changes.
  • Visual cracks appear when damaged, similar to the iron golem.

Roaster Rework: (Ok I lied, my favorite)

  • Now called the Spewer
  • Ammo type switched to liquids. Currently only supports lava. (Later will implement Ice)
  • New temperature system added to the spewer. The bar in its GUI shows its temperature which is impacted by surrounding it with lava (later implement Ice). Temperature impacts golems damage, if surrounded with lava, the lava the spewer shoots is way hotter, and vice versa.
  • Can surround the base of the turret with lava or cauldrons filled with lava to
  • Visual cracks appear when damaged, similar to the iron golem.
  • All turrets are now considered golems, to fit the vanilla feel better! They now need to be created the same way an iron golem is made. Images shown on the website.
  • Cannon projectile blocks now have a new model and texture, and all types are now stackable up to 8 times instead of 4.
  • Changed the impacts of all projectiles in the game to much more cleaner and satisfying effects.
  • The cannon and mortar shot sound varies now, to add a little more variety when firing a lot at once!
  • Changed the textures of cast iron items
  • All cast iron blocks are completely retextured.

Fixes:

  • If the world was closed, cannons and mortars would not fire and freeze on the last frame! Requiring players to break them to fix them, is now fixed!
  • Placing a cannon that’s facing west would delete the block in front of it and add a barrel. This no longer happens
  • Roaster Golem is no longer considered wood, even though it never burned it still caught fire when surrounded by lava.
  • Many many fixes in the code that just makes the mod better!
  • Cannons no longer break any block, including bedrock!
  • Fixed Exploit where players can fire at max range when only using 1 gunpowder.
  • Fixed dup glitch

Removed:

  • Cast Iron is completely removed from the game. along with all corresponding items.
  • Cast Iron Pillars are removed for technical reasons and will be added back later.
