Hello archers! I hope all of your shots have been true. Minecraft 1.20.6 was the biggest technical update in a while. So, Progressive Archery 1.1.6-1.20.6 is the biggest update in a while as well. Below are the changes:

  • Fix: Redundant velocity addition for projectiles fixed.

  • Fix: Fletching screen renders background with normal darkness.

  • Fix: Skeleton variants and Illusioners now shoot lower than previously, making them more precise.

  • Fix: Advancements trigger bug fixed.

  • Change: Golden arrows now can be tipped 8 times per potion level in cauldron, down from 21.

  • Change: Individual arrow damage rebalanced upwards.

  • Change: Critical arrow bonus nerfed, to min +10%, down from max +20%.

  • Change: Archer villagers now work at night instead of the day, and have a chance to rest during the day each day cycle. Chance to rest is lower for higher world difficulties. Villagers at half health or lower will always rest for that day, until healed.

  • Change: Archer villagers gain XP twice as fast.

  • Change: Archer villagers and Illusioners are now stronger, shooting speeds equal to the max release speed of each bow type.

  • Change: Persistent projectiles now experience 0.1% speed decrease per tick in air, down from vanilla 1%.

  • Change: Fletcher Villagers do not change Archer Villager's bow if it is enchanted or has a custom name.

  • Change: Item tag #progressivearchery:metal_arrowheads renamed to #progressivearchery:crafted_arrowheads

  • Addition: Added optional datapack for enhanced compatibility across my three mods.

  • Addition: EMI integration added, Fletching and Tipping recipes added. Recommended.
