A rebalance of anvil mechanics to be more fair and simple.

The order you combine enchantments in no longer matters, and repair cost only applies to actual repairs, not renaming or enchanting.

Specific mechanics

Renaming an item always adds only 1 XP to the cost.

Enchantments only add to the cost when transferred from a book to item. Combining books is free and combining items is free (in terms of enchanting cost).

The cost is calculated by rarity * 2 ^ (book level - 1), so that for example combining 4 Soul Speed I books costs the same as one Soul Speed III book.

Every tool can be repaired its full durability 4 times after which it will be too expensive, e.g. an iron sword has 250 durability so it can have 1000 durability repaired before it is too expensive. This is now the only way for something to be too expensive.

Also, unit repair (tool + material) is now proportional to the material cost of that gear, e.g. a diamond pickaxe takes 3 diamonds to fully repair and a leather chestplate requires 8 leather to fully repair.

Planned: a netherite ingot fully repairs any netherite item

This mod was made with the upcoming villager trade rebalance in mind.

Compatability

Due to the way the mod was written, this mod is likely to be incompatible with other mods that modify anvil GUI or mechanics. Incompatabilities with other mods will probably not be addressed, apologies.
