DropItem-Kill Datapack/Mod

Purpose of this project

Have you ever thought, "Minecraft is lagging?" This project was created to solve such problems. By installing this project's datapack/mods, you can speed up the operation of Minecraft. The method of weight reduction used by this project is very simple, just kills dropped items every specified number of seconds. However, a large number of entities puts a very heavy load on the server and clients, so it is necessary to kill them at regular intervals. This mod is particularly useful for SMP servers, but it can also be used for other purposes as well. Also, since the number of seconds remaining before an item will be killed is displayed at regular intervals, you can rest assured that items will not suddenly disappear.

How to install this data pack/mod

For Data Pack

  1. Download the data pack version that matches the Minecraft version you want to install.
  2. For single player, open the world folder and place the downloaded zip file in the Datapacks folder. For server, open the World (or overworld) folder and place the downloaded zip file in the Datapacks folder.
  3. Open a world or start a server as you normally would. You can install it using this procedure.

For Mods

  1. Download the Mod version that matches the Minecraft version you want to install.
  2. Move the downloaded jar to the Mods folder on the server or client. Note: If you deploy it on the server, you do not need to deploy it on the clients.
  3. Start Minecraft (Server) as usual. You can install it using this procedure.
