  • Mountains have been overhauled and can now reach a height of about y=500

  • mountain (and erosion) has been changed to be more realistic

  • mountain ranges now have foothills

  • swamps have a different placement and terrain

  • reworked the river valleys to be based on valleys carved by glaciers. other valley types will be added later

  • oceans are now deeper and more gradual

  • some biomes are now based on height

  • reworked the vegetation noise to be smaller and to have more variation
