Overview
This datapack has one goal: Make rabbits a decent mob without changing them too much. I believe that while Rabbits deserve a full on revamp, Rabbits Simply Redone will work as a bandaid fix on some of their easier to solve issues. With this datapack, rabbits will be more capable of surviving on their own thanks to near-immunity to fall damage, as well as having a bit more health. Furthermore, rabbits are bigger, bringing them closer to their 1.8 size, and their litters now have 2-3 babies instead of 1, to incentivize farming them and further mimic their real life tendencies
Full list of what this pack does and does not do:
What this pack DOES do:
-Makes rabbits bigger (1.35x their base size)
-Makes rabbits practically immune to fall damage (They can fall around 30 blocks before taking fall damage)
-Other stat modifications to rabbits
-Makes rabbits always create 2 offspring at minimum when bred, with a 1/3 chance for a 3rd baby to spawn (This only occurs if a player is within 10 blocks of the rabbits, to prevent overpopulation of naturally occurring rabbits, and thus lag)
-Modifications to rabbit loot tables, such as more consistent rabbit hide drops
-Makes rabbit hide more enticing as a way to obtain both leather and string
Planned, but not currently possible / is out of scope of a mere datapack (AKA what this pack DOES NOT do):
-Make dandelions healthier for rabbits than carrots (likely to be added in v1.1)
-Make Rabbit's Feet brew Luck potions (If custom brewing is added to datapacks...)
-Add peaceful methods for making use of rabbits (i.e passive produce) (Out of scope)
-Give rabbits a home block for them to flee to (Similar to don't starve rabbits) (Out of scope)
