Lit Blocks Interaction
Here is where everything begins... a furnace block or any other version of it. Touch it while it's lit, and you'll feel the BURN! Be cautious to avoid serious damages. Keep in mind that you can't interact with it normally! Consider using a Towel, a piece of paper or a glove to help you out, especially in the early stages of the game)
Cooking Pan transformation
Cooking Pan gives you an additional layer for cooking your favorite vanilla food items. Simply place the Cooking Pan over a lit furnace block and use any vanilla raw food item over the pan to prepare a delicious half cooked meal in seconds!
If you're looking for a more immersive experience, consider enabling the 'Custom_smelting_recipes' value in the config. This option removes the base smelting recipes for raw food items, making food preparation slightly more challenging. You'll need to cook the food in the pan for the half cooked version before fully cooking it in the furnace.
Item transformation in front of a lit block
Have you ever thought of cooking items through the heat of the furnace block? Now you can! Drop your food items in front of a lit furnace block and get your burned creations. Feeling creative? Try out to set your custom transformations via config! 🔥✨
Smoker x Generator Interaction
Expanding on the mod’s features, I've introduced a second block: Generator! Simply position the Generator near a smoker block, fuel it up, and unlock your third transformation option for a new set of food items with enticing enhancements and a delicious dry twist! 🍎✨
Underwater lit block Interaction + Furnace x Generator Interaction
Since we already discussed the Smoker combo, try to submerg a Furnace block underwater in combination with a Generator! This setup will generate a continuous flow of steamy water that will capture anyone inside, making escape nearly impossible)
If you want to admire your furnace blocks under a new light, put them under water, even without a generator, and enjoy some bubbles!
Blast Furnace x Generator Interaction
Now, for the final combo: the Blast Furnace with the Generator. This one is simple but pretty cool. Put some fuel in the Generator next to the Blast Furnace and watch the chickens fry! (Try this interaction with other animals as well.)
Available Mod Compatibility
Brick Furnace (1.16.5 - 1.20.1), Furnace Mk2 (1.16.5 - 1.19.2), Iron Furnaces (1.18.2 - 1.20.1), Better Furnaces Reforged (1.18.2 - 1.20.1).

In depth Features
Lit Blocks Interaction
This is the main feature of the mod, which changes how the player interacts with lit blocks. If you wrongly open a lit block, you'll take damage and get a "Burned" status effect. Do it again within 10 seconds and you'll receive "Mining Fatigue" and a tougher "Burned" effect. By using paper (as default option), a Towel or a Glove to open a lit block, these effects are bypassed. Rather then losing item stack, the Towel and Glove items will lose some durability. Using configuration file, you can set the item for opening lit blocks, the initial damage, decide how many items you lose on use, and how often you can touch the furnace between each second before taking damage.
Cooking Pan transformation
This feature lets you interact with a cooking pan placed over a lit block to "cook" items, thus creating a more intricate food preparation system. Using raw vanilla food items on a cooking pan, you can create half cooked or burned version of that food, which you can then finish off in the furnace for a fully cooked meal. Additionally, this feature allows for custom transformations, adjustable via a config file. Also, Burned Food Powder can be transformed into Bone Meal.
With the config file you can enable the custom crafting condition, which disables some vanilla furnace recipes. By default the value is turned off.
I highly recommend you to enable 'Custom_smelting_recipes' feature!
Item transformation in front of a lit block
When you throw a vanilla food item or half cooked food item near a lit block, it will transform within 1 second into its burned version. There's also a 20% chance it might turn into Combustible Food Waste instead. If you leave the burned food near the furnace for more than 5 seconds, it will inevitably become Combustible Food Waste.
Smoker x Generator Interaction
This feature will allow you to access another transformation feature, which will give you the ability to transform certain vanilla items into their powerful dried versions. You can find the list of items in the "Food Items" section under the "Dried Food Items" category. When the generator block is powered, the smoker will emit smoke from above, indicating that you can throw items over the block to create their transformed versions.
Underwater lit block Interaction + Furnace x Generator Interaction
This event provides the player with a special interaction. It grants all lit blocks a visual effect when submerged underwater. However, if the block is a furnace block, it will also receive a pulling effect and a unique visual effect when submerged to a depth of 4 blocks or more. Additionally, there is another interaction that combines a furnace and generator to generate a more powerful pulling effect and a different special visual effect. This interaction is triggered across all the water blocks present above the furnace block.
Blast Furnace x Generator Interaction
When you power the generator near the blast furnace block, the block will produce a "shockwave" over a period of 5 seconds. This shockwave will kill all animal entities in its vicinity and instantly cook their drops. 99% of Modded animals are included.
As a downside, the event will give the player a negative effect that stacks up to 3 levels if the player is within the effect's execution. Check the Burned soul effect for more info.
Burned Soul effect
When using the Generator x Blast Furnace interaction and staying within its effective range, the player will gradually receive an escalating effect that increases in intensity if the player remains within its area without resetting the effect. The first level serves as a warning, while the second and third levels can be lethal. At the second level, there is a 25% chance of inducing nausea and a 5% chance of instant death. Reaching the third level guarantees death.
Flint and Steel advanced interaction
This feature redefines the traditional use of the Flint and Steel item, making it dependent on Burned Food Powder for standard use and Gunpowder for advanced use. The advanced usage generates more flames around the ignition point and destroys some "week blocks" at random. Without either of these items, the Flint and Steel becomes unusable!
Hot surface
When the player tries to walk over the lit block, they will take damage unless they are sneaking. The concept is similar to that of the magma block.
Explosive Generator
If the generator is exposed to the rain with an open sky, there is a slight chance it may be struck by lightning. This chance increases by 1000% if the generator is powered.
Explosive Smoker
This event is exclusively triggered within the bound of the smoker and generator interaction. If the Smoker x Generator Interaction event is active, the smoker block will explode when there is not enough above smoker space. The required free space is 3 blocks in height.
Blocks
Towel Hanger
The Towel Hanger block enables the player to store the Towel item for a swift pick up and use with nearby lit furnace blocks.
Generator
The Generator is an energy block that activates when powered with Gunpowder or Burned Food Powder items, providing energy and redstone capabilities. When placed near a lit block (such as a Furnace, Smoker, or Blast Furnace), it gives them a new powerful usage, which you can check out in "in depth features" section above. Gunpowder provides 10 points of energy, while Burned Food Powder provides 5 points.
Items
Burned Food
Burned Porkchop, Cod, Salmon, Beef, Chicken, Rabbit, Mutton, and Potato.
These items provide a small amount of fuel if used as such. When eaten, they provide similar stats to rotten flesh.
Half-Cooked/Baked Food
Half Cooked Porckchop, Cod, Salmon, Beef, Chicken, Rabbit, Mutton, Baked Potato.
Those items provide a good amount of food and saturation values but less than a cooked food item, but more then their raw version. Take into consideration that these items are used as an intermediate step to properly cook the item in the furnace for its complete cooked form.
Dried Food
Dry Apple, Beetroot, Sweet Berries, Carrot, Enchanted Golden Apple, Golden Apple, Melon Slice, Pufferfish, Salmon, Tropical Fish.
You can obtain these items by processing their vanilla counterparts inside the Smoker x Generator Interaction. They will provide you with some additional stats above the original values offered by those food items.
Generator Fuel Items
Burned Food Powder, Gunpowder.
These items are essential for powering the generator block, and each one contributes a different amount of power. Burned Food Powder provides 5 points of power, while Gunpowder offers a more substantial 10 points of power.
Burnt Excrement
Molten Food Waste, Combustible Waste Food
These items are the result of overcooking items during the Item transformation in front of a lit block event. At the moment, they provide great source of fuel for furnaces.
Needle and Towel
The Needle is the key ingredient for crafting and repairing the Towel item. The Towel is your best way to safely interact with a lit furnace without getting burned. Additionally, you can also use the Towel on the Hanger block to create a charming decoration for your environment!
