FAQ

  • How do I configure the mod?
    • The mod is configured from the mod menu (since mod version 1.1.2). Find "Fog Overrides" in the list and click config.
    • For older version you will have to find the config file in the config directory in your Minecraft instance directory.
    • On servers you will have to find the "fogoverrides.properties"-file in the config directory of the server.
  • Does this mod support Sodium/Iris or Optifine?
    • I will try my best to keep compatibility with Sodium.
    • While the mod will likely run with Iris installed, I wont promise shader compatibility. Some shaders have their own fog-implementation and supporting that is outside the scope of this mod.
    • Optifine is not supported and wont ever be supported.
    • Compatibility with mods follows an "if it works it works" kind of deal.
  • Can you port this mod/feature to X version?
    • In short: no.
    • This is not because I don't want the mod to be compatible, but because the workload of maintaining multiple versions would be too much for me to handle.
  • Can I use this mod in my modpack?
    • Yes, as long as the modpack is hosted on either CurseForge or Modrinth.
  • Does this game work on Forge/Fabric/NeoForge?
    • Yes, there are versions for all three.
