This mod is a collection of simple vanilla-style features that improve the game's atmosphere, give certain things more uses, or add more variety.

NOTE: This mod is still in beta, features may be incomplete or buggy.

Features

Misc

  • Glowing wool blocks, which emit light and are craftable using glow ink sacs. Available in all colours other than black
  • Smoky quartz which is obtainable from bartering, and can be crafted into smoky quartz blocks, and smelted into smooth smoky quartz, a translucent brown block
  • Calcite brick set (regular, cracked, mossy, cracked mossy)
  • Mossy deepslate bricks, and cracked mossy stone and deepslate bricks
  • Rotten flesh block, crafted from 9 rotten flesh
  • Recoloured Windswept savannas (lush green, similar to the old bedrock version) and Cherry groves (pale teal)

Revamped Sniffer plants

  • Torchflowers now glow, a commonly requested feature
  • Pitcher Plants now spawn firefly particles around them at night.
  • Sniffer can now dig up old rose and cyan rose from the alpha versions of the game

Autumn Forest biome

  • Maple Trees, with grey-brown bark and orange leaves. Come in 2 sizes
  • Glacier Lilies, Fireweed, bunchberry flowers, and blueberry bushes
  • Maple Wood set, which is a lighter and more washed-out version of birch (aka, birch but less ugly)
  • Red Cardinals, an ambient bird mob

New trees and wood sets

  • Mahoe Trees, a short bushy tree with bright red blossoms, spawning rarely in sparse jungles
  • The blue Mahoe Wood set gives the game more blue building blocks.
  • Strange Trees, a weird floating structure made of purple stems and crystalline black & magenta "leaves". Spawn commonly in the end islands.
  • Strange Wood set, a purple wood set with a more blue hue than traditional purple blocks such as purpur.

Biome foliage expansions

A few biomes received a couple of new and unique plants to make them feel more ambient and unique. Most of these are also placeable in flowerpots.

Jungles

  • Passionflower vines, which grow on some jungle trees
  • Birds of Paradise
  • Pink Orchids

Roofed Forests

  • Jack-in-the-pulpits
  • Ghost pipes, which grow in mushroom patches

Swamps

  • Blue Iris
  • Pink Lotus
  • Taro, an edible crop and decorative plant

Mangrove Swamps

  • Sea Lavender
  • Swampflower (creeping jenny), a ground cover plant
  • Red Lotus

Plains

  • Black-eyed Daisy
  • Coneflower

Taigas

  • Snowy Lupine (arctic lupine)
  • Twinflower

Savannas

  • Blue-eyed Daisy (African daisy)
  • Blue Bush Daisy (blue marguerite)
  • Savanna Bloom (Impala Lily)
