REP introduces a dynamic and immersive reputation system to Minecraft, fundamentally changing how players interact with the game world. This mod creates a living, reactive environment where every action has consequences, adding depth and strategic thinking to your Minecraft experience.

Important Note on Multiplayer Compatibility

REP is primarily designed for single-player experiences. The current implementation uses global variables to track reputation, which means in a multiplayer setting, all players share the same reputation score. Any reputation-altering event triggered by one player will affect all players equally. This design choice may lead to unexpected gameplay experiences in multiplayer environments.

Core Features:

  1. Dynamic Reputation System: Your reputation score, ranging from 0 to 100, reflects your standing in the world. Start at a very good 100 and watch as your actions influence this score.

  2. Mob Behavior Changes: As your reputation drops, the world becomes more hostile. Experience increased spawn rates of aggressive mobs, with additional hostiles potentially spawning alongside regular mobs.

  3. Iron Golem Reactions: These village protectors become more than just passive guardians. With a low reputation, Iron Golems may turn hostile, adding a new layer of challenge to village interactions.

  4. Agricultural Consequences: Your reputation affects your ability to cultivate the land. Low-reputation players face a high chance of crop growth failure and reduced harvest yields, making survival more challenging.

  5. Villager Trade Alterations: Your standing in the world directly impacts your economic interactions. Higher reputations lead to better deals with villagers, while a poor reputation results in inflated prices and potential trade rejection.

  6. Weather Influence: Your actions don't just affect the inhabitants - they impact the very environment. Lower reputations increase the frequency and duration of rain, with very low standings potentially triggering more thunderstorms.

  7. Achievement Rewards: Positive actions are rewarded! Earn 10 reputation points for each advancement you complete. Defeat the mighty Ender Dragon or the fearsome Wither, and your reputation will soar to the maximum of 100!

  8. Explosive Mining Consequences: With low reputation, mining becomes a risky endeavor. Ores have a chance to explode upon being mined, adding an element of danger to resource gathering.

REP seamlessly integrates into the single-player environment, adding a new dimension to survival and roleplay. Every decision becomes meaningful as players balance their actions against potential reputation loss or gain.

Whether you're building a thriving, respected community or embracing the role of a notorious outlaw, ReputationMod ensures your choices shape the world around you. Will you be revered as a hero or feared as a villain? The choice - and the consequences - are yours.

Compatible with Minecraft Forge 1.20.1, REP is more than just an addition to your game - it's a complete reimagining of how you interact with the Minecraft world.

Embark on a new adventure where your reputation precedes you, and every action echoes through the cubic landscapes of Minecraft!
