"Scrolls and Curses" adds magic scrolls, used for enchanting, and new treasure enchantments
Magic scrolls
Use scroll to enchant item in your offhand.
The better the scroll, the better enchantments it can give.
Scrolls can be found in dungeons.
There are 3 magic scrolls:
- Torn Magic Scroll
- Magic Scroll
- Powerful Magic Scroll
and:
- Cursed Scroll
Enchanting with scroll doesnt require any level and can give treasure enchantments.
Cursed Scroll
Cursed scroll works a bit different than other scrolls:
- it gives only treasure enchantments (unobtainable through enchanting table)
- it gives only 1 enchantment per use
- it can be used on already enchanted items
In most cases, this scroll gives curse enchantments, but has a small chance (4% default) to give non-cursed treasure enchantment.
The chance for getting non-curse enchantment increases with every enchantment (and enchantment level) of item on which Cursed Scroll is used.
Enchantments
There are 4 curse enchantments and 2 non-cursed treasure enchantments:
- Absorption (for chestplate)
- Amok (for weapons)
- Curse of Ender (for armor)
- Curse of Flames (for weapons)
- Curse of Rust (for breakable items)
- Curse of Vulnerability (for armor)
What do they do:
Spoiler
Absorption enchantment grants user absorption effect for 60 seconds after getting damage from mob,
Amok enchantment grants user speed and strength for 10 seconds after killing enemy (length of effects stacks)
Curse of Ender enchantment has a chance to give user Chaotic Teleportation effect after getting damage from mob (chaotic teleportation teleports you in random places nearby),
Curse of Flames enchantment has a chance to ignite enemy and sets USER on fire after attacking enemy, that is burning or in lava,
Curse of Rust enchantment makes items lose 1 point of durability more with each use,
Curse of Vulnerability makes all protection enchantments weaker.
