Mod Introduction
Sweet Potato Mod (SPM) centers around various types of sweet potatoes, with three working stations: agroforestry (agricultural and forestry) tables, grinders and magic cubes, showcasing the perfect combination of agriculture and magic. As time passes by, developers of SPM gave up maintenance for various reasons. The mod remains in Minecraft 1.19 and has not been updated since June 2022.
Sweet Potato Reborn (SPR) is developed based on SPM and supports multiple platforms including Forge/Fabric/NeoForge. It retains the main game content and adapts to new versions such as enchanted tree features and random state effects, rewriting and optimizing the code. This is a new beginning. I hope to bring the perfect combination of agriculture and magic to everyone again in Minecraft 1.20 and above.
Sweet Potato
In this mod, a type of food has been added: sweet potatoes. It is divided into three categories, namely purple sweet potato, red sweet potato, and white sweet potato, as well as three variants, namely raw sweet potato, baked sweet potato, and enchanted sweet potato. After killing zombies, husks and zombie villagers, there is a certain probability of obtaining any category of raw sweet potatoes. You can also search the world for treasure chests containing sweet potatoes, some of which also contain enchanted sweet potatoes. After obtaining any sweet potato, you will make the advancement "Sweet and Soft". You can also plant any type of raw sweet potato on the farmland for it to grow.
Of course, you can also cook sweet potatoes and eat them. Put any category of raw sweet potatoes into a furnace, a smoker, or over a campfire until cooked, and you will receive the corresponding category of baked sweet potatoes. Baked sweet potatoes can restore a lot of hunger value. After eating any variety of sweet potatos, you will receive a potato peel.
In the magic cube, you can convert any category of raw sweet potatoes into other categories of raw sweet potatoes, or enchant them to become enchanted sweet potatoes. Eating enchanted sweet potatoes will result in one or more state effects.
You can put sweet potatoes into a grinder to obtain sweet potato powder; Of course, sweet potatoes can also be put into composting bins for composting.
Sweet Potato Powder
Sweet potato powder is an important item in the mod. You can grind any type of raw or enchanted sweet potato to obtain sweet potato powder.
The powder can upgrade saplings and crops to its enchanting varieties in the agroforestry table, to increase their growth rate.
The powder is also a sublimation agent in magic pots. Adding it to magic pots can greatly improve the quality of conversion.
Potato Peel
When you eat any sweet potato or its variants, you will get a peel. The peel is an important fuel for magic cube. Without it, the magic cube would not start the conversion.
Magic Cube
The magic cube emits a black luster. You can activate the magic cube by lighting the soul fire in the 3x3 area below it. The activated magic pot will have a beautiful purple halo.
After obtaining the magic cube, you will make the advancement "Magic in Soul". The activated magic cube can genetically modify or enchant raw sweet potatoes.
The magic cube can be said to be a cost-effective anti explosion block. It has the same explosive resistance as obsidian, but can be excavated with an iron pickaxe. Also, Magic cubes can be used for home decoration.
Grinder
The grinder has a grinding disc, which is used to grind sweet potatoes into sweet potato powder. Putting any type of raw or enchanted sweet potato into the grinder will accumulate corresponding values. When the value accumulates to 15, the sweet potato will start to be ground into sweet potato powder.
Agroforestry Table (agricultural and forestry table)
The work area of the Agricultural and Forestry Station is made of gold. By placing the original six saplings, crops, and sweet potato powder into the station, they can be upgraded to their enchanting variants. The growth rate of enchanted saplings and crops will significantly increase.
Enchanted Saplings
Enchanted saplings have a sparkling enchanting luster, and currently have six varieties (redwood saplings, cherry blossom saplings, and pale oak saplings will be added later), namely enchanted oak/spruce/birch/jungle/acacia/dark oak saplings. The enchanted saplings planted can only be obtained by enchanting them with precision collection tools.
You can enchant a sapling with a regular sapling and a sweet potato powder in the agroforestry table. Compared to ordinary saplings, enchanted saplings have significantly increased growth and can generate enchanted trees.
Similar to the original saplings, enchanted saplings can be placed in flower pots, used as fuel, and composted. Enchanted oak saplings and enchanted birch saplings have a chance to naturally generate beehives.
Enchanted Crops
Enchanted crops are upgraded variants of the original crop. You can obtain its enchanted variant through the original crop and a sweet potato powder in the agroforestry table. They will grow much faster than the original crops. You can plant them on farmland and let them grow.
You can also put them into the composter to compost. After they grow up, they need to use any precise collection tool to obtain their enchanted variants, otherwise they can only obtain their ordinary variants.
Enchanted wheat seeds and enchanted sugar canes can be fed to chickens and parrots. Peels, enchanted potatoes, and enchanted carrots can be used to feed pigs.

Author's Note
Sweet Potato Mod (SPM) is developed by Pigeonia Featurehouse, supporting Minecraft 1.16-1.19. It can be downloaded through CurseForge.
After communicating with one of the authors @teddyxlablee, I took over the mod production and started mod development at the end of June 2023. During the year 2024, due to academic reasons, support for Minecraft version 1.20.1 was suspended for over six months until October 2024, followed by support for version 1.21.1 a month later. Sweet Potato Reborn Mod was officially released on November 11, 2024.
