The Abandoned World is a dimension forsaken by its former guardians. The land is filled with scrap and decaying waste, leaving only remnants of forgotten machinery, rotting plants, and mutated creatures to walk the renounced lands.

Finding The Dimension
Found in the caves (y-30 to y-10) of Deep Darks, Frozen Peaks, Jagged Peaks, or Stony Peaks biomes, The Abandoned World Overworld entrance can be found. From there, use the low-durability lighter to light the portal. Be sure to clear the portal of any sculk vines if you are in the deep dark, or you'll waste the lighter and have to find a new one.
Crafting
Many materials can be garnered by slaying machines or looting chests, the most important of the materials being the Power Core, used to craft a majority of the more exotic items. As for the crafting recipes, I'd recommend the use of JEI for an easier time.
Scrap Sword
The Scrap Sword is a high-damage, efficient blade crafted from the propellors of The Survey and a Scrap Rod.
Scrap Reactor
_Using a cacophony of materials found within the dimension, you can craft a Scrap Reactor. Using the Forgotten Lighter or a regular flint and steel, you can overload the reactor and cause it to detonate. The reactor's explosion is 30x more powerful than TNT, so be sure to have an exit plan! _
Scrap Gun
Alongside the reactor, a powerful item is the Scrap Gun. Using fire charges, you can fire powerful blaze-like projectiles to ignite your foes.
