Replace RSO with XSO (#6, #7)
This should improve the video settings experience on controller and also fix the crash that happened when you opened the settings menu. Sorry for not getting to this sooner.
Sodium update
This beta release of Sodium (compared to beta 1) contains some new terrain rendering optimizations, mod compatibility improvements, and many other notable performance improvements.
⚠️ Nvidium temporarily missing
Nvidium is temporarily missing as it does not support the latest version of Sodium yet. Please do not message Cortex about this.
Archived mc1.20.4 and mc1.20.6
Based on community feedback in our Discord, I've archived mc1.20.4 and mc1.20.6 to make it easier on me for maintenance. These versions had a significantly smaller amount of downloads than mc1.21.1 did so it didn't make much sense to keep maintaining them. If a lot of people ask for these versions, then I'll probably start supporting them again.
As an example, here is a table of the download counts of each variant of Adrenaline 1.24.0. You can see that 1.20.6 is only 2% and 1.20.4 is 7% of what 1.21.1 has.
mc(ver) | downloads |
---|---|
1.21.1 | 7.9k |
1.20.6 | 208 |
1.20.4 | 571 |
1.20.1 | 1.3k |
Does not support mc1.21.3 alpha
Controlify isn't released yet for mc1.21.3 so I haven't updated it to this version yet. Later, if you need it, check next update or just add Controlify to Additive.
Config changes
- Removed Sodium CPU render-ahead limit override (adrenaline#43)
- The default value likely works better for the majority of systems. This was supposed to be done a long time ago, but I kept forgetting.
- Adjusted BadOptimizations lightmap updates (adrenaline#45)
- This makes the lightmap update more often. Should fix the light map darkening looking very jittery and noticeable.
- SLC mode "Solid Aggressive" -> "Solid"
- This should make leaves at the top of trees properly transparent without really any performance difference.
- Clean up Dynamic FPS config
- Removed a lot of unnecessary keys.
Updated mods and loader
Most of the mods in the modpack have been updated. Fabric loader has also been updated.
If you notice bugs...
Please report them on the issue tracker. I'll try to get to them whenever I can.
Highlights
Sodium 0.6.0-beta.2
This release contains the beta version of Sodium 0.6.0, the largest update in Sodium's history. This contains a wide array of performance improvements and bug fixes. One notable feature is the addition of Translucency Sorting, which fixes how translucent objects look when stacked behind each other. For example, visual bugs with water. Another thing to add is that FRAPI is now supported out of the box, so you won't need mods like Indium anymore.
A patched version of Enhanced Block Entities is included which fixes an issue with this Sodium update. The official mod will be added back once the PR gets merged to upstream.
For more information about this update, see the Beta 1 and Beta 2 changelogs on Modrinth.
mc1.21.1 beta(?)
At this point, DeckCraft for mc1.21.1 is considered mostly stable for production use. CIT Resewn has been updated and is back! ResolutionControl3 has also been added in place of RC++.
Updated mods and mc1.21.1
Most of the mods in the modpack have been updated and mc1.21 has been upgraded to mc1.21.1. Fabric loader has also been updated.
Sodium Leaf Culling
I've added Sodium Leaf Culling to this version which is supposedly meant to have better performance (Cull Less Leaves is not updated to mc1.21.1 and it seems like it's not compatible with Sodium 0.6.0)
If you notice bugs...
Please report them on the issue tracker. This release contains a lot of changes, and so, especially with Sodium 0.6, you might possibly experience an issue or two. I'll try to get to them whenever I can.
Highlights
Just some mod updates, and also replaced EmuNO with MacOS Input Fixes. [upstream]
CIT Resewn and ResolutionControl++ is still missing on mc1.21, CIT Resewn is missing on mc1.20.6.
Highlights
mc1.21 beta
DeckCraft for mc1.21 is now considered as a beta stage and should be mostly stable. The only mods missing is CIT Resewn
and ResolutionControl++
, everything else should be here.
mc1.20.6 beta
DeckCraft for mc1.20.6 is still considered a beta although it should be mostly stable. It is only missing CIT Resewn
Add Calcmod (#77)
CalcMod is a simple QoL calculator in chat with extra shortcuts designed specifically for Minecraft. It is very unobtrusive and lightweight, you simply access the mod through /calc
, and has a ton of super useful features such as basic calculations, nether portal calculations, storage calculations, farm rate calculations, and much more.
Fixed FBG config
FabricBetterGrass config should now be fixed and the mod will be disabled by default. You can enable better grass in the Sodium video settings menu.
Highlights
mc1.21 Alpha Status
DeckCraft is now available for mc1.21 as an alpha! Beware of bugs, if you experience issues then make sure to use the issue tracker. Oh, and also make sure that you back up your worlds in-case anything goes wrong. Currently missing mods:
- Noisium
- Nvidium
- ResolutionControl++
- RyoamicLights
- World Host
Here are the mods force-enabled through loader dependency overrides:
- Cull Less Leaves
- ThreadTweak
- EmuNO
mc1.20.6 Beta Status
DeckCraft for mc1.20.6 is still in a beta stage, currently missing CIT Resewn. I'm not entirely sure if I will support mc1.20.6 long-term, or if I will drop it once 1.21 becomes stable.
ResolutionControl+(+) (#75)
Allows you to set the render resolution of your game for better performance, and take large screenshots in a similar way to Fabrishot. ResolutionControl+ has been added on 1.20.1 and ResolutionControl++ has been added on later versions.
CLL Random Rejection
CLL's Random Rejection has been set to 0, which should make leaves look normal for the most part. This shouldn't affect performance.
Updated mods
Updated all mods in the modpack. Held off on Sodium update on mc1.20.6 since Nvidium isn't compatible with latest Sodium yet.
