Prominence II RPG v3.0.2

Player Damage Increase

Due to scaling being harsh in the early game, this update focuses on buffing the player, specially in the early game, to ease out starting the modpack. Players who don't have good builds will also benefit from it, being now strong enough to go through the campaign (and even low tier mythic bosses).

Specifically, the rebalancing introduced in v2.0.0 was reworked to no longer have stamina hits (First hits being stronger than the rest) and the global -50% damage reduction was removed, due to this, technically damage was also nerfed (scaling is a lot stronger) but due to the player having double damage now, the end game damage is really similar.

For those who liked the difficulty from 3.0.1 and 3.0.0, I am planning on adding new features into difficulties later on, and adding the same scaling as an optional feature.

Balance Changes

These damage changes affect mostly the early game, making it less punishing, while also affecting the endgame similarly to how it was previously (and has been since the v2.0.0 update released last year)

Player Damage

  • Increased player damage globally by +50% (Actually removed the previous -50% reduction)
  • Dynamic damage now starts applying after 10 damage is dealt.
  • Dynamic damage no longer gets ignored on the first hits, stamina hits were removed.
  • Dynamic damage now is slightly stronger on higher damage numbers.
  • PvP Damage is now 60%, from 75%.

Mob Scaling

  • Reduced added damage to scaled mobs by 50%

Talents

  • S'kellak's Call now scales at 100% Fire Power and 35% Physical Damage.

Other

  • Increased minimum of Ashes of the Stars to 15%, maximum to 35%
  • Increased minimum of Omniscience to 7%, maximum to 25%
  • Reduced damage of spellblade spin attacks by 40%
  • Obliterated newest spell oil from spellblade
  • Disabled Auto Swap from Spell Engine

Other Changes

  • Added new main menu song
  • Magus can no longer be summoned outside the glass ocean

Small update fixing various crashes and a few issues, but also reducing scaling to make it less punishing for early game and a bit more challenging against bosses / mini bosses.

v3.0.0 - A New Beginning

This update does NOT need a world reset, but it is encouraged due to how much stuff has changed, but it is ultimately up to you!

Important Changes

  • The Hasturian Era Begins. This update introduces both the final chapter of Void's Invasion, and the start of Hasturian Era.
  • Complete Talent Tree Overhaul, featuring 16 passives, 9 active abilities and +100 stat talents!
  • Player Leveling! With talent points earned every 2 levels! The maximum level in Hasturian Era is 65, if you update from void's invasion, your level will be set automatically.
  • Artifact Upgrade Trees. Upgrade your artifact with its own upgrade tree that contains stat increases and passives!
  • Mob Scaling, tied to player levels with multiplayer support.
  • New Class: The Bard, a new custom class that buffs allies by playing music, with different buffs depending on the instrument, and they can even ANY song too, by just drag and dropping the MIDI files! This class will be expanded further in updates with custom armor sets and spells too!
  • New Ability Books:
    • Warrior's Codex (Melee Burst Skills)
    • Rogue Handbook (Melee DPS Skills)
    • Tome of the Eternal Winter (Melee DPS Skills)
  • Corruption System. A high risk high reward system where you get stronger but fall into madness. With integration between talents & artifact tree passives.
  • Infusion System. Find infusion smithing templates to infuse Etyr and Corruption into any weapon, armor, or tool.
  • Cinderstone Trophies. A new item has been added that allows you to craft QoL items such as the Explorer's Compass, among others. Their recipes were adjusted to require this item, which is dropped by campaign bosses or made using mythical essences! Making these useful items accessible later on in the gameplay.
  • A rewritten Void's Invasion. Following an Elden Ring inspired writing style, and focusing more on the story with slightly cryptic indications.
  • Spanish Translations! The Void's Invasion and Hasturian Era storylines are now also in Spanish. This does not apply to other questlines due to it being a very time consuming task for me. Other languages aren't planned as of now, as I only speak english and spanish.

Combat Rolling & Fixes

The Roll ability now has actual combat utility! It now provides an invulnerability window of 0.25 seconds, making it way better than just a movement ability.

Stability & Performance

This update introduces performance gains, memory leak fixes, and a few stability-focused changes.

Initially, this was supposed to be released with v2.9's content, but I preferred to instead upload it now so you guys don't have to wait :smile:

Mine Cells Update

This update introduces a lot of new content from the Mine Cells mod, as seen in this announcement. It also fixes a few issues and prepares the modpack for an upcoming big update! Please reset your minecells dimensions before updating for the best result!

Another important change is that there is a new roster of mythic bosses, and they were buffed significantly!

3rd Artifact Update - Part I: Ash'edar

  • 2.8 was divided in 3 parts! Because of how time consuming making artifacts is, I've decided to separate this update into 3 parts, each part with a new artifact. This one features the dual swords, Ash and Edar!
  • New Artifact: Ash'edar, The Cosmic Twins. This is the first dual wield artifact! Featuring 6 abilities that change according to which weapon you're holding in the main hand. Its abilities are focused on both weapons, meaning its gameplay depends on switching the hand the weapons are very often. It's by far the most complex artifact at the moment and might get changed in the future updates.
  • Molten Core is now soulbound like artifacts.
  • Added new icons to passive and active abilities from artifacts
  • Fixed custom content items not displaying the proper name (Translations were broken due to a caps issue with some performance mod)
  • Fixed a few memory leaks caused by outdated mods
  • Fixed glowstone trim being enabled on servers
  • Fixed armor not being repaired with life mending
  • Fixed some issues with quests
  • Fixed enchantments going away when anvil loses durability

Prominence II [RPG] v2.7.5

Fixes & Brews!

This update polishes out some issues from the last update (mostly related to EMI), while also bringing small additions like more Copycats, rotating chipped blocks and more!

The modpack now comes with VanillAA enabled by default! This shaderpack integrates TAA into Minecraft, making the game look better on distances and fixing the "mipmap issues" some mods have. Performance impact may depend on your system but most systems won't have any noticeable impact as after all it's only adding TAA. If you have a really old system and are getting low fps, you might want to disable this shader.

Reforging Overhaul

This update changes completely the reforging mechanics! It is now less random and more progression oriented, it also removes the unique tier and adds another called Mythic, which has similar stats. Along with this, staves and wands are now also reforgable!

There are now 3 tiers of reforging items (that replace the amethyst required before), each allowing you to reforge to certain qualities.

Limestone, found in the overworld, allows you to reforge to Common, Uncommon, Rare and Epic. While Pyrite, found in the Nether, allows to reforge to Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary. Galena, found in the End, allows to Rare, Epic, Legendary and Mythic.

Most of the qualities of your items will be ported over, but Unique quality items won't be converted into Mythic.
