I made Tameable Beasts and this is the ModPack I recommend and use it to play w friends!

The modpack is client and server sided and contains QoL changes to the game, along with Embeddium for optimization, adds a lot of vanilla+ mobs you can tame and new weapons and structures to the overworld!
