  • Lowered the volume of Floating Dream from 100% to 40% in Lush Caves for consistency with other biomes.
  • Lowered the volume of An Ordinary Day from 100% to 40% in Lush and Dripstone Caves for consistency with Snowy Slopes and the rest of the Caves and Cliffs soundtrack.
  • Instead of playing all music from the generic tracklist on top of its own, Creative Mode now only plays the 12 ambient Volume Alpha tracks (as well as the 6 Creative Mode tracks), similar to how it did before the Caves and Cliffs update.
  • Increased the chances of Creative Mode music playing, giving Creative Mode a 50-50 chance of playing either a Creative Mode track or a Volume Alpha track.
    --
  • Pack no longer completely replaces music.overworld.frozen_peaks just to add One More Day to its tracklist. If this causes issues, please let me know.

General Changes

  • Support now explicitly extends all the way back to snapshot 23w31a, which was the first to allow for multi-version packs.
  • Support now explicitly extends forward to game version 1.21.
  • Increased the chances of menu music playing, giving the menu an almost 50-50 chance of playing either a menu track or a Tricky Trials track, slightly in Tricky Trials' favor. Intentionally does not apply to game versions from snapshot 23w31a to release 1.20.6. Tracklist will likely be tweaked in a future update.
  • All Forest and Jungle variants now only play the twelve ambient tracks from Volume Alpha instead of all of music.game, even in game versions from before the Tricky Trials music was added.
  • Reverted Lush Caves music to vanilla. Intentionally does not apply to game versions from snapshot 23w31a to release 1.20.6, even though all of its music but but Featherfall exists in those versions. Tracklist will likely be tweaked in a future update.

Technical Changes

  • Rubedo no longer explicitly has a weight of 1 in music.nether.nether_wastes since weight defaults to 1 if left undefined.
  • Slashed weights of Lush Caves music in half in game versions from snapshot 23w31a to release 1.20.6, since the pack prevents swamp music from playing there in those versions.
  • Snapshots from 23w31a (1.20.2 snapshot) to 24w11a (1.20.5 snapshot) now use the 'pretato' overlay.
  • Game versions from snapshot 24w13a to release 1.20.6 now use the 'posttato' overlay. It is identical to 'pretato', but references to the 'generic' filenames (calm1, piano3, nuance2, etc.) have been removed.
  • Removed JSON for music.game since it is (currently) intended to be functionally identical to vanilla.
  • Added custom sound event cb_music.game_volume_alpha for parenting off of. It contains only the twelve ambient tracks from Volume Alpha.
  • changelog.txt entry for pack version 1.3.3 now describes A Familiar Room as 'really irritating' instead of 'realy irritating'.
  • 'Accommodate' in changelog.txt entry for pack version 1.3.2 is now correctly spelled with two 'm's.
  • This version is not actually meant to replace the previous. It's numbered that way just to make writing the changelog easier.
  • Readded One More Day, Floating Dream, Left to Bloom, and Comforting Memories to the generic game tracklist (music.game) at 40% volume, because A Familiar Room is realy irritating when not playing alongside other modern music. This was already a setting in the Bedrock Edition releases of the pack, but pack settings aren't possible on Java Edition. This also means the Fields and the Wasteland in snapshot 24w14potato now play the correct music.
  • The Arboretum in snapshot 24w14potato now plays the correct music. Unfortunately, this means that Flower Forests also play this music in snapshots 24w12a and 24w14potato, due to limitations in Java Edition.
  • Removed JSON for music.overworld.desert and music.overworld.badlands since they were functionally identical to vanilla.
  • Pack now reads as compatible with game versions 1.20.5 and 1.20.6.
  • One More Day now plays on Frozen Peaks like on Bedrock Edition.
  • One More Day now plays in Deserts and Badlands again.
  • C418's music now plays at the correct weight in Lush Caves in game versions pre-1.20.2 again.

  • Completely removed pack overlays, since they only had an effect when using another music pack as well as this one, which you really shouldn't be doing anyway.
  • Reorganized sounds.json.

  • Renamed pack from just "Cornbread's Music Fixer" to "Cornbread's Music Fixer (Java Style)"
  • Changed pack description from "Various QoL music tweaks by Cornbread~." to "Java style music tweaks by Cornbread~."
  • I realize while writing this that this version would more accurately be described as 1.1.2 without the new Bedrock support the PMC release has, but i want to keep the version numbers the same.

While this version is technically backwards compatible with game versions before 1.20.2, it is recommended you use the version of the pack labeled for your version of the game.

  • Updated pack_format to 18.
  • Added "supported_formats" field to pack.mcmeta, allowing the pack to be compatible with 1.20.2, 1.20.3, and 1.20.4.

  • Repositioned the bandage on the pack icon. It is no longer rotated.
  • Updated the filepaths for the Volumes Alpha and Beta tracks because Java Edition randomly decided the old ones weren't good enough and couldn't even be bothered to put it on the changelog. Tracks from these albums should now play in game versions 1.20.3+.
  • Learned how pack overlays work to keep the pack compatible with game versions 1.20.2 and below. It may still break in certain snapshots.

This and pervious versions of the pack are not compatible with versions 1.20.3+

  • Updated pack_format to 15.
  • Added 'A Familiar Room' to music.game.
  • Removed menu music easter egg.
  • Reorganized Lush Caves json.
  • Swamps now only play Swamp Music.
  • Removed unused custom swamp sound event 'cause i couldn't get its data pack to work.
  • Added changelog.txt.
  • Deserts and Badlands no longer play 'One More Day.'
  • Forests, Flower Forests, Jungles, Bamboo Jungles, and Sparse Jungles now (effectively) use music.game.
  • Replaced "C418 plays more." in the pack description with the version number.

((previous version was hosted on another site))

  • Made Lena Raine's music play more often in non-Wastes Nether biomes to be more in line with the Bedrock version of the pack.
  • Moved Lena's music to the top of the Nether sound events.
  • Changed the pack icon to be easier to read in-game (and also 'cause i ported the pack to older MC versions and the previous icon wouldn't make sense there).
  • Added changelog.txt.
  • Added sound event minecraft:music.lena_raine.swamp for use with the data pack.
(ignore this one. data pack doesn't exist anymore and never worked.)
  • Changed the contents of minecraft:music.overworld.old_growth_taiga to be more in line with the Bedrock version of the pack.
