BUGFIXES:

  • Stopped multiple tree types from spawning in the plains biome, making it look like a flower forest.
  • Added saplings into biomes to cover biomes not covered in default Minecraft biome tags, as a temporary work around until I can get my own custom tags to work properly. (This is a temporary fix, and not final)

I goofed and released 1.2.0 before adding in the recipes to craft your own new saplings from the vanilla ones!

BUGFIXES:

  • Added in missing recipes for Glowing Mangrove and Cherry Saplings!
  • Added in missing recipes for Yoshino and Sakura Cherry Saplings!

This is the original release for 1.18.2.

It has many Bugs and is not recommended! It's here for archival purposes, and in case my hard drive dies and I lose my work as happened with 1.19.1 - 1.2.0!

BUG FIXES:

Fixed an issue where Flowering Jungle Leaves were indestructible, and could only decay after clearing jungle logs. Player placed blocks were totally indestructible in survival. As fun as an invincible wall of flowers seems, this was not intended as a gameplay feature, so we fixed it!

Fixed an issue with the recipe for Glowing Autumn Oak Saplings. They now correctly require Autumn Oak Saplings, and not Oak Saplings to craft.

Fixed an issue where the bugged Glowing Autumn Oak Sapling recipe caused a conflict with the Glowing Oak Sapling recipe. This was actually how we discovered these last two bugs!

If you all find a bug, please don't hesitate to let us know! Our Goal is to make this mod as clean and smooth as possible!

Updated the Mod to 1.19.2!

Fixed a few typos, and lost one that i know is still in there someplace. . . Fixed a broken recipe!

Added in a New Biome:

The Giant Flower Forest - A lush biome rich in mosses and clays that grows massive tree sized flowers and grass!

A whole host of new structures: Giant Flowers - These structures replace trees in the Giant Flower Forest, and can be grown back home by using Tree Food on a glowing flower as if it was bonemeal. There is a giant flower for each color and most types of flowers. (all the single block flowers and Sunflowers) Giant Grass - These structures also spawn in tall thick towers in the Giant Flower Forest along side the flower trees.

Added in 2 new wood types:

Flower Stem Planks - A pale green color of wood with a full set of block, including walls!

Grass Stem Planks - a darker rich green colored set of wood crafted by breaking down giant grass stems!

Added in a new building blocks:

Giant Petals - Vibrant blocks make of giant flower petals that can be crafted into slabs and stairs for all your fragrant building needs! Bloomlamps - Glowing buds of giant flowers very similar to Shroomlights, but with a lightly animated, less chaotic texture! (The particles in their centers very gradually shift in hue and tone) Giant Flower Stems - These blocks are chopped like normal log blocks, but themselves have a slab and Stair model (Stairs are called Thorns, and can be found naturally spawning on giant rose stems) Giant Grass Stalk - Also acting like logs, these blocks have slab and stair variants, and can even be crafted by tightly compressing and binding 9 grass items in a crafting table! (I wanted them to be renewable like the Giant flowers)

To Do for full release:

  • Fix the giant flower spawn point when grown with tree food. Right now they spawn in off centered, and I just need to do some math on each one to get them back in position.

  • figure out how to implement glowing Mangrove trees, and their new variants. You all knew I was gonna do it! Just have to make final decision on how to handle propagules.

Coming Soon! CROPS!! (Some farmable flower crops are in the game, but only obtainable in creative or with commands. They are far from finished, but are in a mostly working state, if you'd like to see a preview!) Cooking Recipes - It's hardly a gardening mod without plenty of yummy new foods to grow and eat!

Changes in 1.2.0:

  • Updated the mod for Minecraft Java Version 1.20.1 (Sadly, the older versions are no longer going to be updated until I can find a way to get MCreator to let me work on them again. I may have to learn proper java coding just for this, but that's gonna take time!)

Rebuilt the Giant Flower Forest (I'll expand the flowers in future releases)

Rebuilt the Giant Grass and the dark green wood set!

Rebuilt the Flower Stem Wood Set (Then found the original sprites, liked them more and replaced them with the original 1.1.0 textures! The texture can still be found in creative mode on the Stem Block Door and Trapdoor, if you wanna see how those models looked and why I made the change.)

Rebuilt the giant petal stairs and slabs!

Added recipes for each color of giant petal block! (Just use 4 of any flower that produces that color's dye in crafting table to obtain these blocks if you can't find the rare giant flower forests.)

Added recipes to obtain Grass Blocks! (Same as the petals, just place four vanilla grasses in a crafting table to craft a Grass Block. Four Tall grass produces two Grass Blocks, which can then be broken down into the dark green planks, or combined with more Grass Blocks to make Stairs, Slabs, Doors, or Trapdoors with that texture!)

Added recipes to obtain Stem Blocks! (Same as Petal and Grass Blocks, this time you use 4 ferns in a crafting table to craft the Stem Block, which can be broken down into the light green planks and used to craft the Stem Planks Set, or crafted into Stem Stairs and Slabs. Stem Stairs also appear in the wild as thorns on Giant Roses)

Added in giant glowing mushrooms for the vanilla giant mushrooms! (Ability to grow them from glowshrooms coming in 1.3)

Added in a new biome, The Glowing Forest! (It's great place to get your hands on glowing saplings and glow berries, however they are rare spawns! A must see biome at night!)

Added in Glowing Mangrove Trees

Added in Glowing Cherry Trees

Added New Cherry Tree types Yoshino (white cherry) trees, and Sakura (a deeper Magenta/pink cherry) tree, with glowing variants

Added the Cherry fruit drop to vanilla and new cherry leaf loot tables.

Added Glowing Torchflowers. (That's right, Torchflowers FINALLY act like torches, Just craft them with glowmeal to activate the glowing ability!)

Added Glowing Pitcher Plants!

Coming Soon in 1.3.0 Ability to grow giant mushrooms from the new mushrooms

A giant Mushroom Biome. (The concept right now is a warm swamp biome featuring giant versions of the tall mushrooms replacing trees. Frogs, Tadpoles, Mooshrooms, and Slimes can be found living among the towers of fungus!)

Ability to farm flowers and mushrooms, growing them like crops (I recovered the art assets for my crops, but not the code that made them work which is why they are delayed! The hope is that you can use these crops to farm the larger blocks or dyes, or just have more flowers for decoration)

Possible Removal/Rework of the Cherry Birch Trees. . . (I am on the fence on this one, and would appreciate feedback. I ADORE the vanilla art for Mojang's Cherry trees and feel that they look soooo much better than my simple pink recolor of the birch leaf texture. My only complaint with them was not being able to get cherry fruit from them, but i fixed that with this update.

So the question is, Do we keep the Cherry Birch Trees, Rename them to Pink Birch Trees and drop the cherries entirely, or do we just remove them entirely because the new cherry trees do it's job while looking better and fitting in with the vanilla game? I have gone back and forth on this in my mind, so I'd super appreciate opinions of folks who use my mod. Keep, Rename, Remove, or do you all have a better idea for our Cherry Birch Trees?
