Since most of you are not in the Calamity mod Discord, you might not have heard of the problem with the mod being corrupted, the reason of the mod not updating.

The mod was changed in version so many things will end up changing, there are going to be many bugs and to my experience almost unplayable, but hey, at least the mod is back, time to fix it.

Changelog

  • Unlock doesn’t work, now you will shift-right click with an empty hand on the security chest to unlock it. When the security chest is locked, it cannot be broken, not even by the owner itself, neither in creative mode :p
  • Renamed Exo Console to Laboratory Console
  • Added Laboratory Furnitures
  • Added the Abandoned Research Facility, you can finally find the pieces to create the SHPC, and since multiple of them can generate, I guess you could make some extras!
  • Added the Aged Containment Box
  • Changed the GUI of the Containment Box by a little
  • You cannot break ores without meeting their requirements now, for example, crimtane ore needs a diamond pick or higher to break, or cryonic ore cannot be broken until Cryogen is defeated. These ores will now generate but cannot be broken until their requirements have been met unless you’re in creative mode ofc :P

  • Added Monster Lasagna and Featherfall Potions (sneak to cancel effect, spam jump to greatly reduce gravity, let go of any of those keys to go to semi-gravity reduced)
  • Added the Jungle Arsenal Bio-Lab with the help of VALO
  • Improved all homing projectiles to not be so accurate, and it will give a chance of missing. Homing projectiles won’t home into the shooter’s pets now, also, they can go fast and slow, not all of them are the same speed now, they won’t slow down upon starting to home anymore
  • Ice Star will start homing very slightly
  • Sun Spirit Staff is now FINALLY a summon oh my goodness, how could I forget about it. It can now be crafted
  • Summons now get a 50% damage cut when not holding a summon weapon, and a 10% increase when you are holding
  • Fixed Timber!
  • Removed the supernova from being considered as a rogue weapon. Also, rogue armor will soon be added so that the stealth meter will be removed when holding a rogue weapon and instead only work when equipping the armor just like the original
  • Kelvin Catalyst now shoots stars in all sides
  • Ice Star now does stealth strikes properly
  • Mycoroot and Infested Clawmerang now does stealth strikes and can give the Mushy Buff. Mycelial Claws can now give mushy buff too

Here I am again, yapping, sorry about this…

  • Added the 4th Layer of the Abyss, Bloatfishes will now spawn there. If you go below to Y(-64) in the 4th layer of the Abyss, you will be teleported to Y(-63) so you won’t fall down. Will add voidstone as a replacement for ‘bedrock’ there, but bedrock doesn’t generate in the Abyss so I’ll find another solution
  • Fixed Moray Eel not playing its death animation
  • Sea Floaty will now move like a Sea Floaty
  • Depending on the light level you’re in and the layer of the Abyss, your vision will be blackened
  • Wearing accessories that delay breathing can help in the abyss, since it will delay breathing like the Abyssal Diving Gear, NOTE: There’s an attribute for this, so if you’re a cheater, then you can just set it to 50 to delay it by 51 ticks
  • The Abyssal Diving Gear’s durability is increased, it will now take damage over time when underwater. The effect is more greater in the Abyss, and depending on the layer
  • Some mobs and bosses will now have a NBT called ‘DamageReduction’ which will reduce the damage, this is to avoid the rapid decrease in health using weapons like the Biome Blade: Arid Granduer (Will be properly implemented since I didn’t have time for this even if it’s important)
  • Added ‘Breath Loss Reduce’, another attribute. It will reduce the amount of oxygen you lose, most useful in the Abyss (Damn, this took me some time to learn decreasing of % 😭)

PRO TIP:

  • When exploring the abyss, bring a ton of glowstone/sea lantern/abyss torches. It will help, and some blocks that can be placed, tho I don’t think you’ll last there even with barely any mobs in the Abyss

6 days have passed, my modeler and texturer is still gone 😂, I’ll have to do everything myself… Changelogs:

  • Sunken Sea is now finally a sunken sea
  • The Brimstone Crag will now only generate in the nether and no longer in the overworld, since creation of the underworld will be pretty hard

  • Completely Reworked The Perforator Hive, for the blood geysers and ichor shots, it will now randomely spread, for ichor blobs, the Perforator Hive will first try to align itself with the player, if the PFH’s (Perforator Hive Shortcut) y position is higher than the target itself, then it will drag itself slightly downwards and align itself, if it’s y is lower than the targets’ then, it will bring itself upward really slightly. The Perforator will also try to get some contact hits in every 5 seconds, so run away!! (No Worms yet sadly)
  • Changed King Slime a little, king slime will normally jump upwards, but after the 3rd jump, the 4th is now different, it will still jump higher but it will now align to the player and fall downwards quickly
  • Reworked the Crown Jewel, will now set itself directly above its target instead of flying around and accidentally leaving and despawning
  • Removed the debugger for the Rover Drive
  • Completely Reworked and fixed the SG (Slime Gods) (Reworked Animations), The Paladins will now fly and try to slam on the player. If the player is 50 blocks far from the paladins, they will teleport to you
  • Revamped most mobs and bosses’ animation
  • Cryogen will now show its shield
  • Added the Thorns Potion and can be crafted
  • Added the Deathweed and the Corruption variant. Added the Titan Potion

  • New: iFrames are now added, if you have iFrames > 0 then you won’t take damage at all. Each time you respawn, you get 20 iFrames
  • Added most items into crafting table recipies since there aren’t no guides on how to use the hellforge, mythril anvil, and other stuff like the bottle
  • Meteors will now fall from the sky each time you defeat a boss (Only after defeating Brain of Cthulhu). Meteors wont fall randomely at night or even after defeating bosses if there are meteor blocks more than 120. Meteors fall around a random player 50-100 blocks away
  • Night’s Edge is added
  • Reworked Light’s Bane, and can now be crafted!!! Made the Muramasa 3D
  • Changed Boss Music of: Eye of Cthulhu, King Slime
  • Added Jungle Spores and can be found in the jungle. You can now obtain vines from vines… yes, and can now craft the Blade of Grass!!

  • Kelvin Catalyst now goes back to the player, when used in stealth mode, it will no longer home (which never worked anyways) and instead will ram back and forth. Increased the item size also

  • Changed what the Depth Crusher inflicts from Crush Depth, to a new effect, Riptide

  • DPS Meter is now improved, will now save your damage so you can see it instead of going to 0 after a second passes. Will also not show DPS count on screen when not equipped
  • Improved the buying system from Clothier

  • Improved Astral blocks spreading, now wont lag the game and spread to random blocks
  • Added Astral Ice and the Stellar Culex, it will spawn on top of astral blocks since creating biomes manually when the meteor lands is probably not possible for the moment
  • The Astral Infection biome will start to naturally generate randomely in the world and cannot stop that but let’s say, someone made it happen, but where the meteor lands is only the one that can spread its blocks
  • The Astral Meteor still doesn’t render, it didn’t render at older versions since it was probably too big of a model but I dont think that’s the reason
  • Added the Astral Ingot, it’s kinda ugly tho, but I worked hard for it >:(. Can’t be crafted since the Lunatic Cultist isn’t added and there’s no Ancient Manipulator :P!
  • Some item textures are now going to be made by me, instead of taking the original
  • Made Crystalline shoot its extra daggers in a fixed direction rather than random direction, since that’s how it really is and makes hitting mobs easier
