This is the final major content update for Ceilands on 1.19.2, backporting the improvements done and adding Fabric support.

There might be a possibility of bug fixes and language translations but no more content will be provided for 1.19.2.

Caution: The portal is rather wonky. Please step off the portal as soon as you can. The code works much better in 1.20.1.

  • 0.4 backports:

  • New in 0.6.1:
    • Added game rule: ceilandsVoidTeleport. True by default. When false, the void will damage the entity instead of taking them back to Overworld.
    • Tweaked Colossal Ceiltrunk trees to be a bit more cylindrical.
    • Removed Polished Deepslate and Chiselled Deepslate from Ceilands portal frame block tags. Now only two blocks are used: Reinforced Deepslate and Polished Ceilingneous.
    • Fixed colour tinting for TF hollow logs with ladders.
  • Other changes:

  • Behold, Ceilands on Fabric! The mod is now truly cross-platform!
  • Added support for four mods: (Currently only on Forge)
    • Twilight Forest: Banisters & Hollow Logs.
    • Farmer's Delight: Ceiltrunk & Luzawood Cabinets, various cutting recipes, and Loot table modification integration to include FD foods and even a knife.
    • Boatload: Ceiltrunk & Luzawood Boats with Furnace and Large Boats.
    • Woodworks: Many sorts of cool wood-based products made from Ceiltrunk and Luzawood as well as sawmill integration.
  • New structure: Ceilands Pillager Outpost. Those outposts will spawn some distance away from Ceillages. They can appear in any Ceilands biome as long as the conditions are met.
  • Improved Ocean Orbs biome:
    • Ocean Orbs now have glass orbs filled with water, replacing 10% of the bowls.
    • Added sand pools. Some dripstone may appear.
    • Changed the foliage colour to be not too blue.
  • Improved Luzawood Forest biome:
    • Luzawood trees now have a chance to naturally spawn as double-forked, that is, generates with four branches instead of two.
    • Froglights of each colour may rarely spawn in Luzawood Forests in small clusters.
    • Torchflowers and Pitcher Plants may occasionally appear.
    • Rarely, Sniffers may spawn within Luzawood Forest.
  • Ocean Cube changes and fixes:
    • Tweaked the placement salt of Ocean Cube to make it extremely unlikely to intersect with Ruined Ceilands Portals.
    • Ceilingneous from bowls of Ocean Orbs should no longer occupy the inside of Ocean Cubes.
    • 1 Elder Guardian will now spawn inside Ocean Cube.
    • Removed one spawner from Ocean Cube. Changed the blocks surrounding Magma Blocks to stairs.
  • Reorganized some structure generation, especially Hanging Castle. This is done under the hood, should make it a bit easier to add more parts to Hanging Castles.
  • Changed animal spawn rules within Ceilands so they no longer account for light level. They still rarely spawn though.
  • Piglins may now spawn in Inverted Peaks and Luzawood Forests rarely. They don't zombify.
  • Graphical tweaks:
    • Tweaked Luzawood door item textures to have some details.
    • Tweaked the textures of Ceiltrunk Saplings.
    • Ceiltrunk leaves are now locked to a specific colour just like Luzawood leaves.
  • Updated the categories for wood-based recipes so they're properly grouped together.
  • Tweaked the placement logic of Colossal Ceilshrooms. They can now only spawn attached to blocks categorized as Dirt tags. Buffed the placement chance to compensate.
  • Ceiltrunk trees will no longer convert grass blocks to dirt due to growing from the underside.
  • Improved the logic of falling into the void of Ceilands.
  • Added uk_ua translation of base Ceilands content courtesy of a GitHub user.
  • The first iteration of the terrain generation revamp is here to make it more interesting and fun to traverse.
    • Now worm-like and weird. There are big lands occasionally.
    • Caves can now generate in the ceiling layer of the Ceilands.
    • Removed water from floating rocks. It didn't make sense. They had copy-pasted iceberg code but the water generation wasn't removed back then.
    • Snow Roof:
      • Now has ice and snow patches on ground.
      • Huge Icicles can generate at a much more varied altitude.
    • Inverted Peaks:
      • Now has gravel layer.
      • Added more sizes of stalactites. The smaller stalactites can generate at lower heights.
    • Topsy Forest:
      • Colossal Ceilshroom can generate in more varying altitudes.
      • Tweaks to Colossal Ceiltrunk generation to make it less likely for weirdly-placed logs to happen on the floor.
  • Changes to Hanging Castles:
    • Tweaks to the details of Hanging Castle Keep. There are also now decorated pots.
    • Cobweb placement in the keep basement is now more randomized.
    • Added barracks and latrine to the basement to make it not feel empty. They both contain chests.
  • New structures: Ocean Cubes
    • Appear in Ocean Orbs biome.
    • Guardians can spawn. Currently, Elder Guardians don't spawn.
    • Has some nice loot.
  • New advancement: Ocean... Tesseract?
  • Falling out of the Ceilands now put you into Overworld.
    • Known caveats: If you fall out of the Ceilands and if you're close to the portal in Overworld, you may be put into the portal instead of falling from the sky. I may look into this issue.
    • There are plans for Aether integration where falling out of Ceilands would put you into the Aether.
  • Strays can now spawn in Snow Roof.
  • Phantoms can now spawn in Inverted Peaks.
  • Tweaked Luzawood door block texture.
  • Tweaked grass colour for Ocean Orbs to no longer be so blue.
  • Fixed the Ceilands Portal Activator recipe incorrectly grouped with wooden boat recipes.
  • (Dev environment) Switched over to use Gradle.properties. This will pave the way for potential development on Fabric.
  • Ported to Minecraft 1.20.1
  • Added Inverted Peaks biome.
  • Added hanging signs for Ceiltrunk and Luzawood.

  • Now updated for 1.19.2. Should hopefully be backwards compatible with 1.19.0 though.
  • Added all-new Ceillages. Villages but in the Ceilands! Ceillages can appear in Topsy Forest and Luzawood Forest, each with their own style: Ceiltrunk and Luzawood respectively.
  • Decreased the frequency of Ruined Ceilands Portals.
  • You now need to stand inside Ceilands portal for 4 seconds to be taken to the Ceilands, similar to Nether Portals.
  • Being in the Ceilands portal now plays the effect similar to being inside Nether Portal.
  • Sleeping in the Ceilands should now properly skip to morning.
  • Ceiltrunk and Luzawood blocks are now properly flammable. This includes logs, stripped logs, leaves, planks, stairs, slabs, fences, and fence gates.
  • Ceiltrunk and Luzawood Fences, Fence Gates, and Boats can be used as furnace fuel now. This includes the chest boat variant.
  • Somewhat fixed odd placement of Ceiltrunk leaves which were very noticeable around Colossal Ceilshrooms. It doesn't apply to every case, but most of them should be gone now. I will continue to fix this.

This update adds a lot of new features to the Ceilands, parts of the efforts to make the dimension more interesting.

  • Now built on Forge 41.1.0 and as such, is the minimum version.
  • New structure: Ruined Ceilands Portal. That means escaping the Ceilands from start will be possible.
  • Improvements to Hanging Castle Structure:
    • Hanging Castles now have 5% of brick blocks replaced with cracked variant.
    • Hanging Castle dungeon chest may have Echo Shards and Blaze Rods. This provides a possibility of escaping the Ceilands if you ever lose the activator, by crafting another activator
  • Improvements to Luzawood Forest Biome:
    • Luzawood Forest floating islands should now properly have ponds. The ponds also may have seagrass.
    • Luzawood Forest Biome now has flowers and vegetation to make it less boring.
  • Improvements to Topsy Forest Biome:
    • Add Huge Ceiltrunk Tree for Topsy Forest to improve traversability.
    • Adjusted the amount of trees that can generate in Luzawood Forest biome, to try to make it more frequent.
  • Improvements to Snow Roof Biome:
    • Changed the foliage colour in Snow Roof.
    • Snow Roof biome now has snow patches on the ceiling, true to the name.
    • There are huge icicles hanging from the ceiling now. The icicles can be either of Packed Ice or rarely, Blue Ice.
  • Improvements to Ocean Orbs Biome:
    • Ocean Orbs should now have kelp and seagrass growing.
    • Added Ceilingneous ore blocks, replacing the default ores for Ceilands generation. The new ores work just like the vanilla ores.
  • Revamped many textures. Particularly, the portal, Ceilingneous, and Ceiltrunk & Luzawood logs, saplings, doors, and trapdoors.
  • Sky improvements: Clouds now appear at the bottom, and the positions of the sun and moon have changed.

Initial alpha release. The Ceilands is accessible.
